What is LGBTQ Outdoorfest?

LGBTQ Outdoorfest is an annual four-day adventure camp for adults hosted by LGBTQ Outdoors, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit connecting the LGBTQIA+ community to nature. Each year we choose a new spot in the country and pack it with activities like hiking, paddling, climbing, campfires, and workshops. It’s all about queer joy, outdoor adventure, and building community — the ultimate mix of fun, friendship, and fresh air!

What People Are Saying

“Being surrounded by so many beautiful souls—each with unique thoughts, backgrounds, and ways of life—we converged on this Earth for a single weekend. Why? Because we needed each other. For that brief moment in time, we put down our walls, took off our masks and hats, and let go of the filters we often carry.

We simply existed—authentically and unapologetically ourselves. We stood together in the embrace of nature, proud of who we are and the labels we carry.”

— Steven

“LGBTQ Outdoorfest is a big deal for a lot of us. It gives us a chance to come together with friends, old and new, from all over. We hug, we cry, we do a bunch of crunchy outdoorsy things together, we learn, we heal, we recharge, and we have fun.”

— CHerie

“My first LGBTQ Outdoorfest was nothing short of magical. I faced my fear of heights on the high ropes course, discovered a new love for candle-making, and had the incredible honor of leading my Pride In Our Parks workshop. But above all, the most meaningful part was reconnecting with old friends and meeting incredible new ones—beautiful souls who inspired me and who I now proudly call friends.”
